Blueriiot analyzers are pre-calibrated at the factory, so no initial calibration is required when you first receive the product.
Recommended Calibration Times:
- At the Start of Each Pool Season: To ensure accurate measurements, calibrate the probe at the beginning of the swimming season.
- During the Season: If your pool’s environment changes (e.g., heavy use, chemical adjustments), additional calibrations may be needed.
- After Long Periods of Non-Use: If the analyzer has been unused for a while, calibrate the probe before putting it back into service.
How to Check Probe Accuracy:
If you’re unsure whether the probe is still accurate:
- Place the probe in a pH4 solution.
- Take a measurement using Bluetooth in the Blueriiot app.
- If the pH value differs by more than 0.2, proceed with the calibration process.
Calibrating Your Probe:
To perform calibration:
- Use the Blueriiot Calibration Kit or standard solutions like pH4 and ORP 468mV.
- Ensure the solutions are at room temperature (let refrigerated solutions sit for 15–30 minutes).
- Follow the step-by-step calibration guide available here:
