Winter Pool Maintenance (When Not in Use)
To protect your pool during the winter and save time and money when reopening, follow these simple guidelines:
- Water Level: Do not empty your pool. Keep the water level 5cm below the skimmers to prevent damage or use skimmer protectors.
- pH Balance: Ensure the pH level is between 7.2 and 7.6. Adjust if needed, then perform shock chlorination with 10g per m³ of water.
- Cleaning: Run the pool cleaner and keep the filter clean.
- Winterising Liquid: Add 5 litres per 100m³ of water to maintain water quality. Repeat mid-season.
- Remove Accessories: Take out all pool accessories (filters, pumps, ladders, etc.) to prevent damage.
- Hibernation Float & Anti-Algae: Place a hibernation float to protect from ice, and add anti-algae.
- Cover: Use a suitable winter cover for your pool to keep it clean and prevent algae, bacteria, and dirt.
By following these steps, your pool will be ready for use when warm weather returns!
