Calibration enables the analyzer to adjust for probe wear, ensuring precise measurements. It involves measuring a reference solution with a known value, such as pH 4 or ORP 468mV.
Utilize the Blueriiot Calibration Kit, which includes single-use sachets of pH4, pH7, and ORP 468mV solutions. Alternatively, standard calibration solutions (pH4, ORP 468mV) from your pool store are acceptable. Ensure solutions are at room temperature before use; if refrigerated, allow them to sit for 15–30 minutes prior to calibration. Do not reuse calibration solutions to maintain accuracy.
1. Prepare the Calibration Solution: Ensure the solution is at room temperature. If refrigerated, let it sit for 15–30 minutes.
2. Rinse the Probe: Remove the analyzer from the pool, detach the usage cap, and rinse the probe thoroughly with demineralized water to prevent contamination.
3. Rinse the Storage Cap: Clean the storage cap with clear water and wipe it dry.
4. Activate Connectivity: Enable Wi-Fi or 4G and Bluetooth on your smartphone. Remain close to the device throughout the calibration process.
5. Initiate Calibration in the App: Open the Blueriiot app and navigate to: Settings > My Analyzer > Probe Settings > Calibrate My Analyzer. Select the appropriate calibration solution when prompted.
6. Add Calibration Solution: Ensure the calibration solution has been sitting at room temperature for 15–30 minutes. Pour it into the storage cap, securely attach the cap to the device, and press Next in the app to monitor the measurement progress displayed on the screen.
7. Complete Calibration: Once the measurement is complete, detach the storage cap and rinse both the probe and the cap with clear water. Clean the storage cap thoroughly to prevent cross-contamination.
- Rehydrate the Probe: Soak the probe in a saturated KCl solution for 24 hours to rehydrate it.
- Retry Calibration: After rehydration, repeat the calibration process as outlined above.
- Probe Replacement: If issues persist, consider replacing the probe, especially if it is over 2 years old or exhibits signs of wear.
