No, the Blue Connect does not calculate or measure alkalinity.
Alkalinity indicates how well water resists pH changes. The ideal range is 80–120 ppm.
Too low: pH becomes unstable (“pH bounce”).
Too high: water may turn cloudy and form scale.
How to track alkalinity in the app?
While Blue Connect doesn't measure alkalinity, you can manually enter the value using test strips. This allows you to get a full overview of your pool water chemistry within the app.
Why does the app keep recommending the same dose?
If the app keeps recommending the same dose, it's likely because the TA value (total alkalinity) was not updated after the product was added.
As a result, the app assumes the value hasn’t changed and continues to suggest treatment.
👉 To fix this, take a new measurement with test strips and update the alkalinity value in the app. Once done, the recommendations will adjust based on the new data.
